How to get here

The Torraccia di Chiusi, farm and farmhouse complex is located on a hill (220 metres above sea level) that overlooks a broad valley in the midst of uncontaminated nature. It is just 4 kilometres from the famous medieval town of San Gimignano and less than 7 kilometres from the lively city of Poggibonsi.

By plane:

distances from San Gimignano:
Florence Airport (Peretola): 50 km.
Pisa International Airport: 90 km.
Siena Ampugnano: 30 km.
By train/bus: From Florence:
Central train station SMN (Santa Maria Novella) – train for Poggibonsi. SITA bus service central terminus (in Florence near the train station): buses leave roughly once an hour for Poggibonsi.
From Poggibonsi, TRAL bus service to San Gimignano. Get off at the “Birreria di Pietrafitta” bus-stop and from there it’s 3 kilometres along an unpaved road to Torraccia di Chiusi.
By Taxi : From the Poggibonsi station: taxi to Torraccia di Chiusi.
By car :

A1 motorway Milan - Rome:
from the north exit "Firenze-Certosa"; from the south exit "Valdichiana".
Continue towards Siena along the FI – SI freeway. Exit at “Poggibonsi nord” and follow the signs for San Gimignano (SP1).
Continue for about 8 kilometres passing on the left, without taking it, the second turn-off for Colle di Val d’Elsa and continuing towards San Gimignano for another few metres (about 30 metres):
then at the point where you see a centre selling terracotta vases, take the unpaved road on your left indicated by a signpost saying “Monti, Canneta, Torraccia di Chiusi”.

Cartina svincolo

1)coming from the Firenze-Siena highway turn left here on the dirt road
2) coming from San Gimignano turn right here on the dirt road
After about 3 kilometres, without deviating, you have arrived.
